Ighalo credits Spanish trio for his quick adaptation at United dressing room

Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo has credited his Spanish teammates for helping him adapt quickly at the club.

Ighalo revealed that the Spanish duo of Juan Mata and David De Gea along with Argentine keeper Sergio Romero played a huge role in his quick adaptation in the dressing room.

 

The 2019 African cup of Nations top scorer signed for Manchester United on a six-month loan deal back in January and has become fans favorite at the club.

 

“The Nigerian has scored for times for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men since then and he is happy with how he has settled in at Manchester United since joining.

 

‘I have a lot of guys there who have helped me. The guys in the dressing room are very good guys,’

 

‘The first time I stepped my feet in that dressing room – wow. There are two or three players that took me and made me feel welcome and comfortable.

 

‘After two or three days we started living like brothers, like I’ve been there for five years, laughing together and cracking jokes together.’

 

‘Especially Juan Mata, De Gea, and the other goalkeeper Romero, because they speak Spanish and I speak Spanish.’ he said.

 

Meanwhile, the future of the former Watford man is still very much u clear as his parent club Shanghai Shenhua wants him back, while United are also keen to extend his stay at the club.
