Leicester City have very little to play for in the league this season so little wonder the very mediocre performance in the away defeat at Tottenham on Sunday.
Tottenham beat Leicester 3-1 with goals from Harry Kane and a Heung-min Son brace continually inspiring the revival of the Spurs.
Kelechi Iheanacho got the consolation goal for the Foxes – in stoppage time – from long range, for only his second shot in game.
Iheanacho himself played all 90minutes after he was handed a cameo in the previous match, the first leg UEFA Europa Conference League semifinals match against AS Roma.
However, there was little the Nigerian could do to prevent his side’s slump at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Harry Kane opened scoring from a Son assist, after 22 minutes, to close out the first half with Spurs having their noses in front.
After the restart, his strike partner, Son scored on the hour mark courtesy an assist from Dejan Kulusevski.
The two would later combine (79′) and Son yet again the goal scorer from several yards out for his second and Spurs’ third.
Victory against Leicester moved Antonio Conte’s side to fourth on the table pending Arsenal’s London derby against West Ham United.
