I’m ready to give my best for Eagles – Mikel Agu

Super Eagles and FC Porto midfielder, Mikel Agu has revealed that he’s delighted to have made a return to the National team ahead of 2019 AFCON.
Nigeria will play South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier before facing Uganda in an international friendly encounter.

However, the on-loan Vitoria Setubal midfielder stated that he can’t wait to be part of the Super Eagles fold when camp resume.

“It is a good feeling to be back to the National Team, it a family I belong to irrespective of the fact that I have not being invited for quite some time, but it is great to know I’ve called up again to serve my country.

“I hope to give my best, the way I always do in the field of play. I can’t wait to join my fellow colleagues in the Camp when the camp resumes.” Agu spoke to brila.net’s Tony Bekederemo in an interview on Tuesday.

“I think I will call it a wonderful moment of reunion for me knowing fully well, throughout the world cup qualifiers and African Cup of Nations qualifiers the last edition I was part of the team.

“Coming into the team for me, it’s really a good moment, I hope to do my best and I want to thank the technical crew for counting me worthy once again to be invited into the national team.
