“It is not over yet – Falcons Boss Dennerby tells Nigerians

Coach of Nigeria’s women national team Thomas Dennerby has stated that it is not over for Nigeria despite a bad start to life at the ongoing FIFA women’s world cup in France losing her group opener 3-0 to Norway.

Dennerby speaking after the game said admittedly that Nigeria must respond with a win in the next game and also posited that the Falcons can still fight well to pick a point in the last group game against France who must have secured qualification before playing Nigeria.

“When it comes to sports, never ever give up. So we have to fight now for 180 minutes more. Hopefully, the France team would have had some point and so we can fight for one point at the last group game. We will work very hard for it and we will never give up I can promise this.”

Nigeria next faces South Korea in the second group game and will with a win keep faint hopes alive.
