Iwobi rated among Premier League’s bests Hazard and Salah

Alex Iwobi has taken to his new role at Arsenal, the player expected to bring the creative edge to how Unai Emery wants his Gunners to fire at opponents and the dividends of that trust have begun to bare fruits.

Iwobi had an attacking role under former Manager Arsene Wenger, but as a winger and there was perhaps a lot less instruction passed on, just order of where to play.
The Managerial change at the club last summer also change not quite, but a lot about how the young Nigerian now controls the game as has been his influence on the pitch.
Arsenal currently sit 5th in the table and it is an impressive start to the uncertainty that was presumed will follow the post-Wenger era.
At the heart of Arsenal’s march onwards to becoming a major team again in England is the role of Iwobi as a creative maestro.
Far from the finished article, the 22-year-old academy product has seized the opportunity of a free role to etch a spot for himself already this season.
In his last five games, Iwobi has made two assists and scored two goals; stats the show his growing confidence and role.
Overall, the Nigerian also ranks in the top 7 of players with the biggest chances created inside 90minutes this season; and he’s in good company too.
He falls behind the likes of former teammate Alexis Sanchez, teammate Sead Kolasinac, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah – He even betters Man City duo, David Silva and Gabriel Jesus – in the compilation per Opta and Squawka.
The PL season is just past the halfway mark and barring injuries, with the player continuing on his good form, Iwobi himself would recognize this as his best season yet on an individual level and a springboard to be even better in the coming years; whether at Arsenal or elsewhere.
