Iwobi’s Arsenal dump out of Carabao Cup, as Chelsea advance without Moses

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi and his Club Arsenal were bundled out of the Carabao Cup after losing 2-0 to North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.

The Gunners has now recorded their second consecutive loss in four days after their 22 matches unbeaten run was ended by Southampton at Saint Mary Stadium on Sunday.

 

Iwobi started the game and played till 58 minutes before he was substituted by manager Unai Emery for French Striker Alexander Lacazette.

 

Korean forward Son Heung Min scored for Tottenham in the 20th minute before Dele Alli added the second to seal the victory for Spurs who will now lock horns with Chelsea in the semi-final at Wembley.

 

 

Meanwhile, Chelsea secured hard fought 1-0 win over Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth. Belgium talisman, Eden Hazard scored the only goal of the game with six minutes to end the of regulation time.

 

As expected, Former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses was missing in the action.
