Delta state Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the kidnap of a Naval personnel, Seaman Kola Omoniyi, attached to the Nigerian Navy Engineering College, Sapele, who was kidnapped last Monday in Sapele area of the State.
The suspect who were trailed to Ebada-Elume Community, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State where they were picked up by a gallant police team led by the Divisional Police Officer, “C” Division in Asaba, CSP Aniette Eyoh.
The police stormed the community with a drone, which they used to detect the area the suspected abductors were hiding
The kidnap kingpin is on the run.
The source also hinted that the rescued Naval Personnel have been moved to the Naval Hospital in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State where he is currently receiving medical treatments.
Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammed Mustafa who confirmed the report said, “The Police combed the area and the suspects were arrested around Sapele area. The Naval Officer is receiving treatment at the Navy Hospital in Effurun. The investigation is still ongoing”
