The League Management Company (LMC) has announced the new NPFL season will begin on September 22, 2019, and end on May 17, 2020.
According to a calendar from the LMC, the Super Cup match between champions Enyimba and cup winners Kano Pillars will be played between September 7 and 8, same time as the fixtures draw for the new season.
The Annual General Meeting of the 20 clubs to feature in the Nigerian top flight will be on September 17.
Last season, an abridged league involving 24 teams split into two divisions was played as organisers seek to align the timetable of the domestic league with that of what is obtainable in most of Europe.
Last season, Enyimba won their eighth Nigeria league championship and they will represent the country in the 2020 CAF Champions League alongside runners-up Kano Pillars.
