Lookman dedicates goal against Leicester City to Fulham hero Bouba Diop

Fulham striker Ademola Lookman dedicated his goal against Leicester City to club hero Papa Bouba Diop who passed on, Sunday.

Lookman the Cottagers ahead at the Kingpower stadium inside the opening 30th minutes on Monday, before running to the touchline where he celebrated with Bouba Diop’s number 19 Senegal jersey raised to the sky, in honor of the former Fulham Man.

 

Bouba Dio, who played for Fulham passed away on Sunday in his home after a battle with illness according to reports.

 

The 42-year-old played for Fulham between 2004 to 2007 and he made over 100 appearances in all competitions and scored eight league goals in return.

 

He also played for West Ham, Portsmouth and Birmingham City in England before his retirement from football in 2013.

 

The former midfielder scored Senegal’s first ever FIFA World Cup goal in 2002, when the Terrenga Lions shocked defending champions France in Korea.

 

He went on to make 66 appearances for his country and scored 11 goals as well.
