Madu hails Falcons doggedness in the semi final win against Ghana

Assistant coach of Nigeria’s women national team Mauren Madu has hailed the doggedness of Nigeria’s Super Falcons following Thursday’s 4-2 penalty shootout win against eternal rival Ghana’s Black Queens at the semi-final stage of the ongoing WAFU women’s cup of nation in Ivory coast.

Madu speaking after the semi-final triumph in a chat with www.brila.net said the girls played their heart out so well against their Ghanaian counterpart and the technical crew were impressed with that.
She added that the fight shown by the girls was a good fight and good revenge after losing out on penalty shootout last time out at the tournament.
“It was really a massive game, the girls really played well and they fought so hard. They really deposited the spirit of Naija – never say die. They really fought so hard I must commend them and we are so happy for the fight they put up.”
The super Falcons will face host nation Ivory coast in the final on Saturday.
