Katsina united coach FC Henry Makinwa has rued the timing of the Covid-19 induced break that has brought everything sports and societal life to a stand still while reviewing his team’s form before the break with an impressive away win against Sunshine stars in Akure.
Makinwa speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid though the effects of the break will be the same for all clubs in terms of more work to do to get players back to shape physically, the timing of the break for his side is one he rues because he would have loved to build on the away win with another win and possibly go on a good run.
“We can’t even train, you cannot even reassess anything, immediately everybody was asked to leave and it’s going to be the same for all the teams.
The facts remains that if we had continue yes it would have been better for us as a team because the rhythm of winning away yes you want to come back home and unleash that form on the next team coming to meet you at home.”
