A 25-five-year-old man has been arrested by the police in Abia State, for killing his lover over a misunderstanding in their Ovom, Obingwa Council Area residence.
The suspect, whose name was given as Obinna Kelvin, from Ohafia Local Government Area of the state, was said to have hit his girl friend, Amarachi Johnson, from Ututu in Arochukwu, over a quarrel that ensued while having an argument.
She allegedly collapsed and was rushed to a hospital where she died.
It was gathered that as Kelvin noticed that his lover had given up the ghost, he tried to escape, but was apprehended and handed over to the police by neighbours.
The incident was said to have enraged relations of the late Amarachi, who quickly organised a mob to attack the home of her arrested lover.
