Simy Nwankwo delivered a perfect response to his recent Super Eagles snub netting a brace in Crotone’s 2-1 road win against Carpi on Saturday in the Serie B.
Goals in both halves coming on minute 19 (Penalty) and minute 64, saw Simy improve his league goal tally this season to double figures – 11 – in 26 appearances.
It also means he keeps improving his season’s goal record at Crotone, which previously stood at 7; in addition to his now 5th career brace.
Meanwhile, the encounter at the Stadio Sandro Cabassi was a relegation scrap, and the Nigerian’s brace in the win gives Gli Squali some hope of survival with seven games left this season.
