Moffi fires Kortrijk onward to Europa League dreams while Nigerian Duo gets subs Role for Brugge

Teremas Moffi scored his third of the regular season in five appearances to boost Kortrijk’s Europa League chances for next season.

Moffi netted in the 59th minute in his side’s 3-0 victory away to Oostende on Saturday night as they move to 10th in the table.

 

The Forward, who moved to the Jupiler League outfit in the January transfer window from Lithuanian side Riteriai for a reported €350,000.

 

Previously, his only other goals had come in home games as the 20 year-old looks to have settled in well at his new club.

 

Meanwhile, Jupiler League leaders Club Brugge squeezed past Waasland-Beveren in a 2-1 win to extend their lead on top of the log.

 

A double from Mats Rits (41′, 90+6′) either side Tuur Dierckx’s goal (90+1′) handed Brugge their 18th win of the season and stretch their unbeaten run to 9 games.

 

Brugge Nigerian duo David Okereke and Dennis Emmanuel were named on the bench but only the latter was called in for some action.

 

Emmanuel was introduced in the 72nd minute, but it was another substitute, South Africa’s Percy Tau that’ll impact from the bench.

 

Tau set Rits up for his second on the night and the match-winner.
