Nigerian international Moses Simon says he’s delighted to sign a permanent deal with French Ligue one outfit FC Nantes.
The Super Eagles enterprising midfielder joined Nantes on an initial loan deal from Spanish La Liga side Levante last summer, however following his outstanding performances, the club has now decided to exercise their right to purchase the winger fully.
The 24-year-old put pen to paper for a year deal with the club and Levante are expected to pocket about €6.5 million from the deal.
In his reaction to the transfer, Moses said he’s happy to pledge his long term future to the club and thanked the management for sorting out his future quickly.
“I’m really happy about it, my efforts didn’t go in vain.” He told www.brila.net.
“I’m excited about everything and the players corporated alot with me and for next season, I hope to be better than last season.”
He continued : “I also thank the players and management for everything and we will continue working hard to achieve our goals.” He said.
Since moving to Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau on loan last summer, Moses has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 games in all competitions before the season in France was called off on account of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
It would be recalled that Moses Simon was voted as FC Nantes player of the 2019/20 season by fans of the Canaries.
