Moses Simon Opens Football Academy In Kaduna

Simoiben Football Academy has reportedly opened in Kaduna by Super Eagles star Moses Simon as a way to give back to the society.

Simon who was bred in Kaduna through his formative years and started his football career but the 24-year-old Levente forward made four appearances and provided two assists after helping Genort Rohr side to claim Bronze in Egypt.

The Nigeria international told SCORENigeria: “I see many talented players, who need help and I want to assist them,”

“This academy is not about me, it’s about the young talents here in Kaduna.

“I came out of here and I believe more players will also come from here.”

Super Eagles assistant coach Imama Amapakabo, as well as former Ajax winger and 1996 Olympic Gold medalists Tijjani Babangida, were among the special guests at the launch of the academy at the Ribadu Barracks pitch in Kaduna, where the Liga Liga started out.

Thousands of fans were entertained with a friendly game involving the new academy and FC Obaje, who paraded the Obaje brothers, Joshua and Godwin.
