Musa confident of Pillars win in Kumasi

Coach of NPFL side and CAF champions league campaigner Kano Pillars FC Ibrahim Musa has stated that he is confident of his side’s ability to record an outright win in Kumasi against Ghana’s Asante Kotoko.

Musa speaking in a chat with brila.net ahead of his side’s second leg fixture in this weekend’s CAF champions league preliminary round tie against the Ghanaian side said he won’t be going to Ghana to defend the 3-2 first leg result against their opponent but rather will be out to play attacking football.
He added that the moment they take the game to their host and attack, the better for his side who then will be able to take charge of the game.
“We’re not going there to draw, we are going there to win as we won in Kano, I’m not used to playing defensive. I used to attack because when you attack, you can pressurize your opponent but when you defend, you allow them to play against you even in your area, so I ‘m not just used to playing defensive even my league and FA cup.”
“They are very lucky to get those two goals which they shouldn’t have been. All the goals we conceded are set pieces which is our weakness and since that match, we have woken up.”
Kano Pillars will depart for Ghana on Friday morning.
