Having helped Egyptian second division side, Aswan SC gain promotion to the top division, key member of the team, Newman Musa has declared that the entire squad is happy as they always worked towards achieving that feat.
Speaking with brila.net, Newman said the entire team worked hard and he would eventually have to make a decision of returning to his parent team or not at the end of the current season.
“I’m so happy we won the championship and we got promotion to the premier league and we are happy because we have been anticipating this.
We still have two games to go but we’ve won the championship now with a 9-point gap. As for my future at the club, I cannot really say anything because my agent will have more information than I do.
All I know is If my team Al Makawloon Al Arab want me back next season I have no choice than to go back but if Aswan needs me then I stay.
If I stay, it means more game time and people get to see me more in action and then move out of Egypt, that’s my plan for now”, he stated.
Newman is currently on loan to Aswan SC from his parent club, Al Mokawloon Al Arab.
