Musa not involved in Al Nasr clash with Al Dhafra

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa missed his Club Al Nasr home defeat to Al Dhafra in Arabian Gulf league encounter played on Thursday.

Musa has been struggling with an undisclosed injury since helping the Super Eagles to a third-place finish in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt back in July.

In Musa’s absence, former Spanish International Alvaro Negredo led the line for the home side, but it was Portuguese midfielder António José Pinheiro Carvalho, known as Tozé who scored Al Nasri consolation goal.

Left-back Mohammed Saif and winger Mikhail Rosheuvel scored Al Dhafra both goals in the 3rd and 24th minutes respectively.

Musa is expected to miss Super Eagles October 13th mouthwatering friendly match against Brazil in Singapore.

The speedy winger also missed the Gernot Rohr’s side 2-2 draw with Ukraine in Dnipro last month.
