Mutiu Adepoju backs Iheanacho to come back stronger after missing out on AFCON squad

Former  Super Eagles striker, Mutiu Adepoju has advised Kelechi Iheanacho not to feel bad after he was dropped out from the team going for the AFCON competition in Egypt.

In a chat with www.brila.net  Adepoju stated that the Leicester city striker should not feel bad but work hard in order to return to the National team set up stronger than ever.

”It’s quite unfortunate for Kelechi Iheanacho that the coach had to drop him and pick other players that have a better season than him.

“He should not feel bad about it, it’s one of those things that do happen in football, consequently when he’s picked up again with his form, they might invite him back ” Adepoju concluded.

Coach Genort Rhor left out two players from the final list of players to make the 23 man list going to Afcon for Nigeria, Iheanacho, who had a bad season with Leicester city and Rotherham’s Semi Ajayi.
