The Publisher of Cornerstonenewsng . com, Mrs Philomina Ngozi Christopher -Oji,has again notified the Nigeria Police and sister security agencies that Killer Fulani herdsmen are after her life.
She said she has the conviction that killer herdsmen have been trailing her everywhere she went to .
According to the Banker turned Journalist,” I am convinced that I am marked to be killed. Why I am saying so unquivocally is that few hours that I called on my people to resist the evil agenda of former president Mohammadu Buhari, who is the grand patron of herdsmen, who put Alhaji Bello Boyejo as the Nigerian head of the controversial cattle breeders’ cartel, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore (MAKH), who is doing everything to take over our bushes, the killer herders are not happy that I am thinking ahead of them,so they are doing everything possible to send me to an early grave.
“I was quoted in the interview saying that Buhari and his herders brought Tinubu to bring back the Ruga agenda which failed woefully because he was resisted by the South and West. I told my people that since Buhari did not succeed in grabbing our land for his kinsmen, he brought Tinubu from the West as President to help him acquire land, seeing that the West will always support him because of tribalism. The North is happy with Tinubu, who, we heard, has agreed to the northern agenda to take over our land. I told my people not to keep quiet ,but to speak out as he has started lobbying the Supreme Court to rule in favour of the federal government that it has exclusive control over the nation’s inland waterways. He wants the court to state that it will be unlawful for states to impose levies on businesses operating in this sector. The game plan of the organised court ruling is to cede our inland waterways to the federal government, so it will automatically be in favour of Fulani herdsmen.
This plan is another Ruga in disguise. I also notified my people to take notice of the threat of Alhaji Boyejo, leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, who boasted that he would invite the brutal most wanted terrorist, Turji, who has gruesomely killed thousands of Nigerians, to defend herders against bandits’ attacks. I told my people that the game plan is a ploy to take over our bushes with the help of killer herdsmen whose aims are to Islamize Nigeria and rule us by force.
” After granting the Interview, my husband and I travelled to my village Ubulu-Uku for my late mother- inlaw’s two years burial anniversary. Just about three days that my interview was published by the media, Fulani killer herdsmen stormed my town, and engaged our local vigilance group in a serious fight that led to the death of a vigilante member, Sule Ukah, and a commercial motorcycle operator. The incident was widely reported in the media on how two people were killed and another was arrested when a gang of marauders suspected to be herdsmen clashed with a vigilante group in Ubulu Uku, Aniocha South council area of Delta State. Did you know that the two herdsmen who the security agencies arrested were arrested behind our compound . What a coincidence that barely three days that I granted interview , telling my people to resist the killer herdsmen, they traced me to my village because people know that my husband and I would be visiting home. I know that their network is superb and that is why I am raising the alarm that when I am killed, they should be held accountable.
” Anyway, our security agencies have compromised and there is nothing they can do, because many people have been killed by killer herdsmen and nobody is held accountable. I am raising the alarm for people, especially my colleagues in the media to take judicious notice of my ordeals. This cannot be a mere coincidence. How would I grant interview against herders and their leaders and two of them were arrested behind our house. What would they be doing there as at that material time? I am convinced that they are after my life”.
