Nasarawa United Captain Emmanuel Makama has praised his teammates’ efforts after they began the 2018/2019 Nigeria professional football league season with a win over Abia Warriors on Sunday.
Abdullahi Abubakar scored the only goal of the game in the first half to hand the Solid Miners all three points at the Lafia township stadium.
In chat with Brila.net’s Seyi Alao, Makama said the team was delighted to start the season with a win and are ready make a title challenge this season.
“Wow, Really Bless God For Given us the victory Over Abia Warriors, Yes it was very difficult game but we thank God for given us day victory, the team played well and we are happy.”
Next for the Bala Nikyu side is a trip in Anambra to face FC Ifeayin Ubah who also returned from Jos with a point after holding league favourite Plateau United to a goalless draw on Sunday.
