Nduka Ugbade would have been the first Nigerian to play in all the FIFA world cup categories from the age-grades to the senior level after leading the victorious Golden Eaglets side at the 1985 world cup to playing in two U20 world cup for Nigeria but was dropped from the USA 1994 world cup squad.
This is the story of Nduka Ugbade, who is currently an assistant coach of the Nigeria under-17 national football team and a former football player.
Ugbade revealed to www.Cornerstonenewsng.comthat the effects of his inability to appear at the three World Cup categories for Nigeria have now been thrown away.
“I do not know why I was dropped from that squad in 1994, but I am a fulfilled man today, He said.
“Since it did not happened in 1994, my son who I have trained from scratch has gone to the senior world cup, I took solace in that.
“Wilfred called me immediately after his first game for Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and said to me ‘did you watch?, I said yes, I cried aloud Ugbade Revealed, ”
The 50-year-old said that his dream has been fulfilled because he told Ndidi from the time he discovered him that he will be the one to help him achieve his World Cup dream.
