Ndidi Voted Man-of-the-Match in Leicester’s 5-0 Demolition Of Newcastle United

Nigeria International, Wilfred  Ndidi was in action for Leicester City as they thrashed Newcastle 5-0 in the Premier League clash at King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes raced into an early lead through Ricardo Pereira’s first-half strike before Jamie Vardy added two more goals.

 

Newcastle left-back Paul Dummett netted an own goal to give Brenda Rodgers men a commanding 4-0 lead.

 

Ndidi then wrapped up the scoring, when he scored the fifth on the of 90 for his second Premier League goal of the current season.

 

The Leicester City midfield powerhouse displayed an excellent all-round performance on the day by successfully completing 91% of his passes, won an incredible 9 tackles, made a game-high 5 interceptions, won 11 of his fifteen ground duels plus 10 of his 14 aerial duels while 100% of his long balls reached their predetermined destinations.

 

In recognition of his outstanding statistics, BBC overlooked 2-goal hero, Jamie Vardy, to award the match’s man-of-the-match gong to the Super Eagles defensive midfielder

 

Ndidi, who will make a return to the Super Eagles fold when they lock horns against the Samba Boys of Brazil on October 13 in an International friendly in Singapore, will be aiming to translate his club form to the national team.
