Nedum Onuoha slams Ibrahimovic after MLS clash

Zlatan Ibrahimovic got another MLS winner against Chinedum “Nedum” Onuoha’s Red Salt Lake, but a confrontation with the ex-Man City defender Nedum Onuoha spilled into the dressing room.

Tensions between the two began to brew after LA Galaxy striker Ibrahimovic appeared to catch Onuoha with his arm, prompting a square-up afterward.

Ibrahimovic scored the winner 12 minutes from time in the clash in California, but could then be seen shouting at Onuoha before turning to celebrate with his teammates.

The former Manchester United forward’s visit to the opposition’s dressing room after the match was not well received, either.

The Nigerian-born veteran, who joined RSL in September from Queens Park Rangers, wasn’t willing to shake hands and Ibrahimovic had to be escorted out of the room.

Onuoha said, “He came in to apologize after the game, because from 60 minutes in, he’s saying he’s going to do me, he’s going to hurt me for that game.”

Ibrahimovic was less apologetic in front of the post-match media after, saying “I like to feel alive, I like when it becomes duels, I know me. When I get angry I feel good.”

The win took the Galaxy to second in the table, a point behind rivals LAFC.
