New Manchester United Boss ten Hag one of lowest earning Managers in EPL

Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Dutchman Erik ten Hag as their permanent Manager on three-year deal (until 2025) with the option of an extension.

Speaking on his appointment, ten Hag, who is currently head Coach of Dutch Eredivisie leaders Ajax, said “It is a great honour to be appointed manager of Manchester United and I am hugely excited by the challenge ahead.”
Per Nathan Riley (Mirror), Recent claims from the Netherlands suggest that the highly thought-of coach will earn more than what well-established compatriot Louis van Gaal took home when he was appointed United manager in 2014. It means that Ten Hag’s wages – which are currently unconfirmed – would exceed £3.3million, as reported by De Telegraaf.
The 52 year-old is expected to join up with the Manchester United squad in the summer and will lead the new era of the club.
In his four seasons at Ajax he has won two league titles and is on the verge of a third.
His reputation as a builder earned him a place on the list for potential replacements after the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.
“In our conversations with Erik leading up to this appointment, we were deeply impressed with his long-term vision for returning Manchester United to the level we want to be competing at, and his drive and determination to achieve that,” Manchester United’s John Murtough, Football Director said.
Manchester United are currently sixth on the Premier League standings and could miss out on a place at next season’s UEFA Champions League.
