Nigeria be great! Balogun tweets powerful message on xenophobia

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has joined the call for action against Xenophobia, following the dastardly attacks on foreign nationals in parts of South Africa.

Balogun, who has been a strong voice against racial discrimination, tweeted a picture quote of former South Africa President Nelson Mandela, adulating Nigeria as a force for Africa’s greatness.

The quote read:

The world will not respect Africa until Nigeria earns that respect. The black people of the world need Nigeria to be great as a source of pride and confidence.

In his tweet Balogun preached Unity: Together we stand, divided we fall! I’m praying for UNITY #SayNoToXenophobia #WeAreOne

There are several reports claiming many Nigerians and other Africans (of black race) have been killed by South Africans, venting angst over the government’s loose immigration policy and economic hardship among other things.
