Nigeria not under pressure at ICC Cricket world cup – Ukwenya

President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation Professor Adams Yaya Ukwenya has stated that Nigeria is not under any form of pressure ahead of the team’s second group stage game against West Indies tomorrow despite having lost the first game by 10 wickets against Australia.

Ukwenya speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said Nigeria’s presence at the ICC Cricket world is a victory alone on its own and that it will serve the team well to gain requisite insight as to what it means to be playing at this height of the game.
“It’s the product of many years of different kind of investment.
“Investment in facilities, investment in development, investment in infrastructure and programs to play the game and these are areas that we are still behind even though we are trying to do something about. So for me, Nigeria been here is victory. Every cricket played on the field tomorrow is victory for Nigerian Cricket.”
