Nigeria’s first homegrown Olympic-bound Rower – Tamarameabi Tokoh on her Big ambitions

Since Chierika Ukogu represented Nigeria in the Rowing event at the 2016 Olympic Games the Country’s profile in the sport has continued to soar as have the sport in the World’s most populous black nation.

So much so that, now, every young rower or canoeist can dream and aspire to compete at the highest levels and make history; the exact dream of Multiple medal winner and national champion Esther Tamarameabi Tokoh, who says her aspiration is to become Nigeria’s first homegrown talent to row at the Olympics.

‘The biggest ambition for me is to go to the Olympics. When I return from Cape Verde (Beach Games), I’ll train hard enough to make it to the African Games and then I’ll focus on reaching the Olympic Games.’
