NNL Match Report: Kada City on the brink of NPFL Promotion

Kada City defeated Nigeria Air force Football Club on Saturday and further brighten hopes of playing in the Nigeria Professional Football League next season.

The Kaduna based club fought back from a goal down to win the game 2-1 to move to the summit of Group A2.

The Coach Shola Adewuyi-tutored side fell behind on the 9th minute after Kelvin Odenigbo opened scoring for the visitors.

The lead was short-lived though, as Wisdom Nwauku restored parity for the home side inside 15 minutes, to see the half end all square.

Kada City was forced into an early substitution as Shola Collins – younger brother of Super Eagles left back Jamilu Collins – came on to replace the injured Otuoke Michael.

Kada stepped up the chase for maximum points in the second half as they piled on the pressure against a now more defensive NAF FC.

Kabiru Sanusi fired a free kick narrowly wide from long range in the 53rd minutes, but the pressure will finally pay off and the home side found the breakthrough in the 68th minutes.

Umar Martaba scored with a superb header from a Kabiru Sanusi cross and Kada City held on for all three points.
