Norway-based defender, Latifu says Super Eagles lack a ‘Natural’ right back

Mjondalen IF of Norway’s right-back, Akeem Latifu has stated with so much respect for the current Eagles players that the present team under Gernot Rohr is still lacking a natural right back.

Latifu who was invited by the late Super Eagles boss Stephen Keshi in the year 2015 revealed to Cornerstonenewsng.comthat he would have been a starter without a direct rival in the team if he was given the chance.
“Only a few players in the team can actually play the right-back role, most of the guys there are converted, it’s never their primary position, players like Chidozie Awaziem, Ola Aina and Abdullahi Shehu.
“But when you are talking of a natural right-back, there are differences, the guys I mentioned above are all good players don’t get me wrong, My point is they aren’t natural right-backs.”
“If I am given the opportunity to play now, people will see the difference between a natural right-back and the guys that were converted to play that position,’ He concluded.
