NPFL Playoffs: Ojo blames goalless draw on poor finishing

The goalless draw played against Akwa United on Monday at the ongoing NPFL Championship Playoffs has been described as a fantastic game by Lobi Stars midfielder, Dare Ojo.

Dare Ojo, in a chat with brila.net, however, blamed the scoreless draw on his side’s inability to convert begging chances while noting that they would be fired up to win the final game against Kano Pillars.
“Yesterday’s game was fantastic. We lost scoring chances that’s why we couldn’t come out victorious. However, we are working towards the next game. Anything can happen and we are working towards winning tomorrow’s game”, he stated.
Ojo also took time out to condemn the violent conduct of some fans in the game between Rangers and Pillars but expressed happiness that the playoffs have remained smooth.
” The championship playoffs has been awesome despite what happened yesterday. It was a show of shame to the Nigerian league but we thank God that things are still moving smoothly.”
Lobi lies 5th on the 6-team log with 4 points and would desperately need a win against Pillars in the final game on Wednesday to have any hopes of a continental spot.
