NTTF President Ishaku urge Nigerian players not to relent in their world cup pursuit

President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Engr. Tikon Ishaku has urged Nigerian table tennis players not to relent in their respective world cup pursuit as the 2019 International Table Tennis Federation world championship in Budapest enters the main championship proper after two days of qualifiers.

Ishaku speaking in a chat with  www.brila.net said he wants the players not to be discouraged in any way and those that have had a setback in qualifying should also not allow their shoulder drop.
Ishaku says he also hopes his presence will lift the players as their number one supporter on the ground.
“All I wish them is the best and I am here of course as a motivator as their President to be with them to spur them on, give them all the support needed and to give them the strength to move to the next level. This is the world championship and anything can happen.”
Nigeria’s Offiong Edem and Olajide Omotayo are early casualties at the world championship after the Nigerian number 2 lady lost against Swedish opponent Bergland Filippa playing through injury and eventually defeated while Jide Omotayo lost his singles and doubles match alongside Aruna Quadri.
