Offiong calls for Investment in Table Tennis

Africa’s Number 2 table-tennis player, Offiong Edem has called for an investment in the sport, citing it as a gold mine.

The Nigerian made this statement while in discussion with Cornerstonenewsng.comon growing the sport.

 

 

Offiong pointed out that the current crop of players wouldn’t play forever and need successors, explaining that the lack of encouragement for aspiring table-tennis players is stunting the game’s growth.

 

 

Edem who concluded that she definitely won’t play at 7 Olympic games as the legendary Funke Oshonaike appealed to wealthy Nigerians home and abroad to aid a cause that could shape sport in Nigeria for years to come.
