Ogunbote blames injury for missing out on NPFL title

Coach Gbenga Ogunbote has blamed injuries for his side’s woes this season at the just concluded NPFL Super six following the team’s third-place finish at the end of the tournament.

Ogunbote speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said nothing would have prevented him from leading his team to the title were it not for injuries to a number of first team players.
He thereafter said it was still a fairly good season for them to have picked a CAF Confederation cup ticket which earned them a return to a competition they played in this season.
” We’re sure we would have gotten it, if not the injury nothing would have stopped us except God and we still thank God for getting third position. We thank God we are able to manage it and we may not have gotten everything rights.”
Enugu Rangers finished third at the end of the NPFL Super six 6
