Former Super Falcons coach Edwin Okon is backing current Nigeria women national team to eventually deliver the ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after playing out a goalless draw against Côte d ‘Ivoire Thursday evening in Abidjan.
Okon speaking in a chat with brila.net said there is so much believe in the team even at times when results falls short of expectation and prays that the team will be in their element when they play the return leg and beat their guest to deliver the ticket eventually.
“There is so much believe in these players and we just pray that by his grace, they should be in the right frame to deliver.
“If they deliver Nigerians will be very proud of them, I will equally be proud of them too because my players are involved. So many of them have passed through me so I think I will be very happy too.”
