Okpe excited with winning end to ICC U19 world cup outing

Captain of Nigeria’s U19 Cricket national team Sylvester Okpe has expressed delight after Nigeria ended her world cup campaign at the International Cricket Council U19 world cup with an eight wicket win over Japan to finish 15th in the 16 team world cup.

Okpe speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said it was a good feeling to end their debut world cup outing with a win and pledge desire to also play for as long as possible with the senior team after been named vice captain of the national team.
“I feel really excited despite the fact that it’s our first appearance at the world cup, we ended it with a win. Well my aspiration is to play for the country for as long as I can, to be able to transfer the experience I have in the world cup and the support I can for the national team.”
