The CAF Champions League final will surely be a match up when holders Esperance Tunis and Wydad Casablanca clash, but, more also because Nigerian duo Junior Lokosa and Babatunde Michael will be aiming to cap their respective campaigns with a silverware.
Lokosa, who is in his first season with Esperance, joined them from Kano Pillars and has made three appearances in the competition.
He was given minutes in the second-leg of the semi final match against TP Mazembe on Saturday, the first-leg ended 2-1 in favor Esperance in Tunisia.
On his part, Babatunde played 35 minutes against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday – Wydad came in with a 2-1 advantage from the first-leg – and went close to scoring when he came on as a second half substitute.
It is the first time two Nigerian players will play in the final of the Champions League for opposing teams.
The first-leg and second-leg ties of the final come up on 24 (Morocco) and 31 (Tunisia) May.
