Henry Onyekuru has revealed how happy as well as excited he is with the current mood in the camp of the Eagles, while he believes the team is ready for the AFCON adventure which begins on Saturday.
Onyekuru scored 14 goals in 31 league appearances for Galatasaray in the 2018-19 season.
He netted the winning goal that earned Fathi Terim’s team their 22nd league title against Istanbul Basaksehir.
He missed the 2018 FIFA world cup due to injury but is back with the team as they look to replicate the feat achieved in 2013 when they lifted the trophy in South Africa.
Speaking with brila.net, Onyekuru, who is being linked with German club side, Bayern Munich, says he remain excited and is ready to give his 100 percent for Nigeria.
“With the present spirit in the team, even if you are an outsider, you can see the way we are working hard, always pushing in training, striving to be better and looking to improve on our performances”.
“We are ready and fighting, we are back stronger because, for two editions, we have not been there so we have to give everything in Egypt”.
“I’m just happy to be with the team, so am ready to give my 100 percent to the team as usual, and I believe that we my efforts and that of the team, we can do big things at the AFCON”.
