Onyekuru Happy To Help Monaco To Their First Point Of The Season

Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru is delighted to help his Club AS Monaco claim their first point of the 2019/2020 football league season.

 

The former French champions played out a 2-2 draw with Nimes at the Stade Louis II to record their first point of the season after week three.

 

Onyekuru set up Algeria international Slimani in the 39th minute for the first goal of the game , before former Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder doubled the advantage six minutes later.

 

Monaco were reduced to 10 men few minutes into the second half,when Jemerson was sent off for serious foul play.

 

Nimes grabbed the advantage with both hands, as Romain Philippoteaux reduced their deficit in the 70th minute before Kevin Denkey restored parity with eight minutes left to play.

 

Onyekuru who was substituted in the 74th minute of the match took to his social media handle to express his satisfaction with his performance.

 

“Happy to contribute to our first point of the season. Allez AS MONACO” He wrote on his social media handle.
