Super Falcons’ captain, Desire Oparanozie is very confident the African Champions can go as far as the final of the FIFA Women’s world cup in France and not end up the whipping team of the group.
Oparanozie, 25, stated that the desire of the team is to scale through the group stages and with the top level of preparation the team has been through, they can surprise the world.
“Well, anything is possible in France, we have been working towards it and the main objective is the trophy and we have our eyes on it.
We are positive and we are not just going there to make up the numbers, we are going to compete and we hope to do everything we can to make it happen. I mean the preparation has never been this good and we are very satisfied.”
The Super Falcons will open their World Cup campaign against Norway on 8th June.
