Pinnick steps up Eze’s chase ahead of world cup qualifiers

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick said he won’t give up on his chase of England under-21 player, Ebere Eze, in order to get him for the Super Eagles.

Pinnick is adamant that the midfielder will be a valuable addition to the national team squad and he’s hoping to convince the Queen’s Park Rangers midfielder to commit his international to the country.

Eze, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, reportedly rejected an invitation to be part of the Eagles sqaud for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

However Pinnick said the player is still under the radar of Nigerian and was him to improve the Super Eagles’ midfield as they plan for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“We need to make a solid representation at Qatar 2022, and it starts with improving on your squad with quality players like Eze,” he insisted.

“Can you imagine a midfield with Ndidi, Aribo, Etebo and Eze? it is one that will improve our squad.” Pinnick said.

Eze who has been in good form for QPR has played twice for England’s U-21 side this year.
