A 22-year-old man, Adewale Mustapha, has been arrested by Osun State Police Command for alleged rape of a 3-year-old girl.
The spokesperson of Osun police command, Yemisi Opalola, in a press release made available to journalists on Wednesday, stated that the incident was reported at Garage Olode Division on 26th July 2023.
According to her, the complaint said, “on July, 25, at about 11:40 am, she left her 3years old daughter at home under the care of Adewale Mustapha. When she returned home at about 3:20 pm of the same date, she discovered that the suspect has forcefully had carnal knowledge of her daughter.”
Opalola said the police carried the victim to the police hospital for medical examination and treatment, assuring that the suspect will be charged in court upon the completion of the investigation.
