The Lagos State Police command has routed a gang of robbers that have been terrorizing Igando area of the state.
Two members of the gang have been helping the police with information on how to arrest other fleeing members of the gang. The notorious robbers consisting of a 3-man gang were nabbed by the policemen from Igando division after receiving information about the gang’s operation.
According to the police, the suspected robbers were arrested on September 14, at about 1:30 while acting on credible intelligence. The arrest was led by the Divisional Police Officer ( DPO) , Igando division, CSP Taiwo Kasumu, who followed in the path of the robbers in Egan, Lagos.
The robbers were said to have been terrorising the Igando/Egan neighborhood at night.
They usually operated with motorcycles to rob along Ikotun-Igando road but were ambushed by the police.
