Coach of Nigeria’s women wrestling national team Akuh Purity has promised that the Nigerian women wrestling contingent to the fast approaching Africa wrestling championship in Algiers, Algeria will win the women title once again and hit double digit of 10 straight title.
Purity speaking ahead of the competition said in a chat gathered by brila.net that the women team had the opportunity to enter camp early enough before the end of the year for the ranking series in Rome and also gave a good account of themselves which he believes will come in handy for the team at the championship.
“I am confident by the special grace of God that we will make it nine in a row,
“I am confident because we started preparation very early this year, even late last year in December we commenced preparation.
“You can recall that we were in Rome (for the Ranking Series tournament earlier this month), where we won one gold and one bronze medal. So I am sure this will work for us to win again.”
