Rangers’ Uzochukwu targets Aiteo Cup victory with the Flying Antelopes.

Rangers International midfielder Ugonna Uzochukwu, Says he’s desperate to win his first career trophy at the expense of Kano Pillars in Wednesday’s 2018 Aiteocup 2018 final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba , Delta State.

Uzochukwu who had a stint with South African club Chippa United F.C. where he made 20 league appearances and scoring two goals has yet to a major honour in his ten year football career. However, the midfielder said he is determined to dash the hope of Kano Pillars who also aiming to win the Aiteo Cup for the first time in their history.

“The Aiteo FA Cup is one of my targets this year , ” he told the media.

“I am 26 years now and I have never won any silverware so I want it this year .

“We know it is a fight against Kano Pillars every time but we played out a 1 – 1 draw this season against them in the 2018 Nigerian Professional Football League in February, so we hope we can win this time . ”

Uzochukwu who made 15 appearances for Olympique Club de Khouribga of Morocco and find the back of the net on three occasions, added he returned   to the Nigeria professional football league in-order to relaunch his career.

“ I’m here to get my career back on track and rediscover myself .” he concluded.
