Rivers Angels attacker Blessing Okpe has stated that she is happy as well as some of her team mates that Nasarawa Amazon missed out on Super 4 qualification after the Port Harcourt based side won it rescheduled final game of the regular season 1-0 yesterday against Delta Queens.
Okpe speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid failure of Amazon to qualify has enhanced their chance of winning the Nigeria women Premier league after a number of headache the Port Harcourt based side have endured in the hands of the Lafia based side who still just few weeks ago defeated Rivers Angels in the women’s Federation cup final.
“I’m so happy they didn’t qualify and they are a better side, the last time between both side when Nasarawa Amazon made the Super 4, they beat Rivers Angels on penalty.
“So I know I am here to make the team proud. I’m happy that Nasarawa Amazon didn’t qualify.”
