Leicester City boss Brendan Rodger has praised the duo of Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and the rest of the squad following their victory over Birmingham City on Wednesday.
While Ndidi returned and lasted for over an hour, Iheanacho played the entire duration of the game as the Foxes progressed to the FA cup quarter final with a win at the Kingpower stadium.
Iheanacho who started in the absence of injured Jamie Vardy had a goal disallowed for offside in the second, but Leicester City still got the winner with late Ricardo Pereira’s header.
Rodgers was, however, full of praises for their performance after difficult month with unwanted results.
“It was always was going to be [a tough game]. Their record unbeaten tells you how well organised and resilient they are.
“I thought it was just a matter of time [before we scored]. In the second half we dominated – lots of quick combos and the goal was coming. It was an excellent display. Some real good moments of play against a team who make it very difficult for you.
“The performance was very good. When you go 1-0 up it becomes a war in the last few minutes. We stood up to it very well.” He said in the post match conference.
