Should Sarri Stay At Chelsea If He Wins The Europa League?

Maurizio Sarri’s position at Stamford Bridge could be saved if he manages to win the Europa League and Chelsea fail to overturn their transfer ban, according to reports.

Roman Abramovich is ready to sack Sarri after Chelsea’s showdown with Arsenal in Baku on 29 May, after a season of inconsistency under Sarri.

Chelsea fans have repeatedly hit out at Sarri and his style of play, and the Telegraph claim the Italian is in danger of the sack at the end of the month.

But a decision will not be taken until after the final, as Abramovich waits to see if Sarri can end the season with silverware and a crushing blow to their local rivals.

Chelsea are appealing their two-window transfer ban, but were knocked back by Fifa in their attempts to overturn it. The Blues are now expected to continue their appeal through the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

If the ban is not frozen by CAS, then Chelsea are less likely to sack Sarri as they would be unable to back a new manager in the transfer market.
