Former national team coach Samson Siasia has called on Nigerians to respect coach Gernot Rohr’s choice of players for the Africa cup of nations and should at this point support the team rather than come up with divisive opinions on who and how the coach should go about his work.
Siasia speaking in a chat gathered by www.brila.net said the coach should be allowed free hand without any form of interference so as to be totally responsible for whatever outcome from the AFCON.
He also added that he is sure that Nigeria’s AFCON sojourn will start getting measured because the Super Eagles won’t gave any problem qualifying from their AFCON group.
“He knows the right players he has to take because without good players you as a coach won’t be successful so he has done his best and all we have to do is to support them to make sure they make Nigeria proud.
From the first round we know we will go through to the next round.”
